ABOUT THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring multiple CCTV screens and alarm systems simultaneously;
- Identifying, investigating, and reporting security breaches or suspicious activities;
- Regularly inspecting and performing maintenance checks on the surveillance equipment;
- Recording and storing all the footage captured by the cameras
- Communicating with law enforcement, security personnel, or building managers when needed
- Complying with data protection laws regarding the use and storage of CCTV footage
- Training other stay on the operation of the CCTV system if required
- Writing daily logs and incident reports
- Follow protocols for maintaining the security of the CCTV control room and its facilities
- Conduct regular checks and routine maintenance of CCTV equipment
- Report any suspicious activities to the security personnel and make necessary records
- Assist law enforcement authorities in investigations and operations
- Ensure data privacy is respected and maintained at all times
- Respond to emergency situations quickly and follow emergency procedures
- Carry out any other duties as required by management
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a CCTV Operator or relevant role
- Knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems and operations (Digifort, Avigilon,
- Hiccentral, Nexcode)
- Familiarity with public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
- Highly vigilant and detail-oriented
- Good communication skills
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
