EBS Finance Localization (Brazil Taxes Experience)

Location: Remote – LATAM (Preferred: Brazil or Mexico) Employment Type: Full-time / Contract Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Functional Consultant specialized in E-Business Suite (EBS) Finance Localization with strong expertise in Brazilian tax and compliance requirements.

The role focuses on supporting finance operations, implementing localization configurations, and ensuring full compliance with Brazilian fiscal regulations within Oracle EBS environments.

The ideal candidate combines functional finance knowledge, hands-on system configuration expertise, and a deep understanding of Brazil’s tax landscape (SPED, NFe, CFOP, ICMS, ISS, IPI, etc.).

- Key ResponsibilitiesProvide functional and localization support for Oracle EBS Financial Modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM).
- Design, configure, and maintain localization settings for Brazil within Oracle EBS.
- Ensure compliance with Brazilian fiscal and tax obligations, including SPED Accounting, EFD, NFe, ICMS, PIS/COFINS, and withholding taxes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex issues, validate setups, and optimize financial processes.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system configurations.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closings, reconciliations, and audit activities.
- Conduct testing, training, and documentation for system enhancements and localization changes.
- Liaise with stakeholders across finance, IT, and tax departments to ensure data integrity and process efficiency.
- Monitor Oracle updates, patches, and legal changes affecting Brazilian localization.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Functional Consultant (Finance modules).
- Proven experience with EBS R12 and Brazilian localization setup.
- Strong understanding of Brazil tax processes, including SPED, NFe, CFOP, ICMS, ISS, and IPI.
- Experience in Oracle configurations, functional setups, and end-to-end implementations.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL and reporting skills preferred.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Desired Skills

- Experience in multi-country rollouts or LATAM localization projects.
- Familiarity with global tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, or similar).
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.

What We Offer

- $30 a $39 usd per hour 168 hour monthly
