Job Description

Position Summary

As a Senior Website Engineer, you will be responsible for web development and maintaining the company's marketing websites. You will work closely with the marketing team and other cross-functional teams to translate designs into high converting, responsive, and delightful web experiences, while also building scalable solutions, establish best practices to deliver an exceptional user experience that achieve business objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Lead the development and architecture of marketing websites, microsites, and martech integrations
- Establish technical standards, best practices, and performance benchmarks for web performance
- Architect scalable and maintainable front-end solutions
- Collaborate with marketing leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools
- Architect and lead complex CMS migration projects with minimal business disruption
- Design and implement custom WordPress solutions including themes, plugins, and integrations
- Manage WP Engine environments, including staging, development, and production workflows
- Optimize web properties for conversion, performance, accessibility, and SEO
- Develop reusable component libraries and design systems in code
- Implement advanced tracking and analytics solutions
- Lead security reviews and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality across projects
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement
- Create and maintain technical documentation

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

- 5+ years of experience in website development, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Fluency in English
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks
- Experience with building and maintaining design systems and component libraries
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization and debugging
- Advanced experience with WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development
- Experience managing WP Engine hosting environments and deployment workflows
- Proven experience leading CMS migration projects (WordPress and other platforms)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Strong knowledge of web security best practices
- Experience with server-side rendering and static site generation
- Understanding of API design and integration
- Proficiency with version control and collaborative development workflows
- Experience with technical project planning and estimation
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
- Proven track record of successful website launches
- Background in agile development methodologies

AND IT'S GREAT TO HAVE:

- Experience with marketing technology stacks (MAPs, CDP, analytics)
- Knowledge of A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
- Experience with internationalization and localization
- Background in e-commerce or SaaS marketing
- Understanding of SEO technical requirements and implementation
- Experience with web accessibility audits and remediation
- Advanced experience with headless WordPress implementations
- Experience with Jamstack architectures (Gatsby, Next.js, etc.) with WordPress as a data source
- Knowledge of data visualization and interactive content creation
- Experience with serverless architectures and cloud services
- Background in agile development methodologies
