Advert 2H Offshore is a global engineering contractor specializing in the design, engineering and integrity management of offshore structures, topsides facilities, subsea components and riser and conductor systems for the offshore oil and gas and renewables sectors. Both market sectors require similar engineering skill sets, and our breadth of experience in offshore structures and environments allows us to provide expertise at all stages of a project: feasibility and concept design, detailed design, procurement management, fabrication support, installation support, monitoring, integrity management, asset life extension and decommissioning.

2H Offshore is looking to add a Senior Engineer to their expanding team in Rio de Janeiro. As a Senior Engineer, you will be part of or lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams (of typically up to 5 people) across a wide variety of projects, encompassing engineering design and analysis at the conceptual, feasibility, FEED, detailed design, and/or installation stages of riser and conductor projects. You will take a leading role on these projects and develop strong and close working relationships with our engineering team and our clients founded on a personal approach and technical excellence. You will take joint responsibility to lead, support and develop engineers to deliver the technical excellence 2H expect across a wide variety of riser and renewable projects.

The successful candidate will be based in the Rio de Janeiro area.

Duties

•Report writing

•Proposal writing

•Communication of technical results and conclusions to other members of the team and clients through meetings, presentations and written reports

•Leadership and project management of scopes of work

Required

•Degree in relevant engineering degree (mechanical, civil, petroleum, chemical)

•Typically, 3+ years of subsea engineering experience, but other engineering backgrounds will be considered

•Minimum 3 years' experience in the oil and gas market

•Fluent English

•Track record of undertaking either riser analysis, mooring analysis, conductor analysis, installation analysis or similar in OrcaFlex or Flexcom

•Experience with:
oDrilling, completion or production riser systems (flexible, rigid or hybrid)
oFloating wind power cables or mooring analysis
oDesign or integrity management as a differentiator

•Ability and enthusiasm to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision

•Ability to work independently, strong sense of personal accountability and self-motivation as well as collaboratively within a team

•Capability to oversee and review dynamic structural based design work, interpreting results to form sound engineering judgements and recommendations

•Excellent communicator, in both written and verbal forms, with highly effective inter-personal skills supported by good attention to detail

•Desire and ambition to achieve both technical and personal excellence by committing to personal and professional development
