Rate: Will depend on years of experience (minimum 5 years required)

Worker MUST be based in São Paulo, Brazil

Business Analyst - this role will support the existing SCOO agile team.

Business Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in business analysis, data interpretation, and stakeholder engagement. You will play a key role in translating business needs into data-driven solutions, supporting strategic initiatives, and enhancing decision-making through actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements for analytics solutions.

- Translate business needs into clear data requirements and work with data engineers and analysts to ensure delivery.

- Review dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

- Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.

- Support data governance and ensure data quality and consistency across analytics products.

- Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand business processes and identify areas for optimization.

- Create user stories, process flows, and functional specifications for analytics projects.

- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the success of analytics initiatives.

- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and clarity.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.

- 5–7 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within a data or analytics-focused environment. 5 years MINIMUM

- Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.G., Power BI, Tableau).

- Experience working with cloud platforms (e.G., Azure, AWS, GCP) and data warehouses.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a must.

- Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.

- Knowledge of statistical analysis or machine learning concepts.

- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or related credentials.
