Their goal is to scale a digital lending platform that helps borrowers reduce debt — having already refinanced over $6B in loans. They're hiring senior engineers passionate about building scalable, reliable systems using Clojure.

Key Details

- Role: Software Engineer (Clojure) – LATAM
- Type: Contractor (12-month project, full-time)
- Location: 100% Remote – Open to LATAM candidates only
- Tech Stack: Clojure (primary), ClojureScript or other front-end techs (React, JS frameworks), Clojure REPL, Idiomatic Clojure

What They'll Do

Build and maintain clean, well-tested APIs in Clojure.

Contribute to scalable, production-grade systems in a lending platform.

Participate actively in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

Take ownership of their work and mentor others when possible.

Provide direct, constructive feedback on PRs.

Leverage AI tools to increase productivity.

What We're Looking For

At least 5 years of total software engineering experience (does not need to be 5 years of Clojure experience)

Practical, hands-on Clojure experience (not just coursework;
building in production environments)

Strong grasp of functional programming concepts (Elixir, Scala, Haskell, or Lisp experience can be relevant if combined with applied Clojure exposure)

English proficiency (can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read)

Comfort with start-up pace and culture;
high sense of ownershipand accountability

Open communicator who values feedback and collaborative problem-solving
