Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team of experienced professionals. As a well-established, full-service 24-hour small animal hospital located in the heart of Hillcrest, KZN, we are committed to delivering outstanding clinical care and tailored treatment plans that support the unique needs of each patient and their family.

We are looking for a candidate who is confident, client-focused, and clinically strong, with a genuine passion for small animal medicine. An interest in surgery or exotics is considered a valuable asset, though not a requirement.

Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients in a 24/7 hospital setting.
- Develop tailored treatment plans and work with clients to support patient welfare.
- Practice evidence-based medicine, and contribute to emergency and critical care caseloads.
- Collaborate with a supportive, collaborative veterinary team and participate in after-hours responsibilities shared across a capable and cooperative team.
- Mentorship opportunities for recent graduates or clinical autonomy for experienced veterinarians.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Registration with the SAVC as a veterinarian
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
