Production Support Analyst

Role Overview: We are looking for a Fixed Income & Rates Technology Specialist to work at the heart of the trading floor, partnering closely with traders and business users to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of mission-critical trading platforms. This role combines Production Support , QA Testing , and L2 Engineering , offering strong exposure to Front Office environments and complex Fixed Income products. You will primarily support platforms during LATAM trading hours , while also contributing to testing, engineering, and platform enhancements outside peak support windows. What You’ll Be Doing: Production Support (Front Office Focus) Provide hands-on support for Fixed Income trading activities, including Bonds, Swaps, and Inflation-linked instruments. Act as the primary point of contact for traders and business users, owning incidents from triage to resolution. Perform rapid impact analysis during live trading and drive effective workarounds to keep trading running. Investigate root causes across the full trade lifecycle (capture → booking → settlement). Contribute to problem management, reducing recurring incidents through long-term fixes. Maintain clear documentation to strengthen the knowledge base. QA Testing & L2 Engineering Execute functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and E2E testing for Fixed Income platforms. Design and manage test cases based on real trading scenarios and edge cases. Identify, track, and follow up on defects using Jira , working closely with development teams. Support application delivery across the full lifecycle, from testing to production readiness. Depending on your background, contribute to: Minor enhancements and bug fixes. Monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect system issues. What We’re Looking For: ✔ Front Office Support & Problem Solving Strong experience supporting trading desks in time-critical environments. Ability to communicate clearly with traders under pressure, translating technical issues into business terms. Confident incident ownership and prioritization during live markets. ✔ Financial Markets Knowledge Solid understanding of Fixed Income products : Bonds, Swaps, Futures, Credit, Govies, Inflation-linked instruments. Familiarity with OTC and eTrading workflows. Understanding of market data, pricing, and risk analytics (PnL, sensitivities). ✔ Testing & Validation Expertise Pre-market system and market data validation. Trade testing with P&L and risk verification. Regression testing and UAT coordination with trading desks. ✔ Tools & Technical Awareness (Nice to Have) Jira and test management tools (e.g. Xray). Basic scripting (SQL, Bash, PowerShell) for data and log analysis. Exposure to Python, Java, or JavaScript (reading code, understanding stack traces). Log analysis using tools like Kibana. Understanding of: Cloud platforms (AWS: Lambda, S3, EFS). Microservices and REST APIs. Messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, SNS/SQS). Relational and NoSQL databases. ➕ Bonus (Not Mandatory) Monitoring tools (Splunk, CloudWatch, Grafana, Dynatrace). CI/CD pipelines. Caching technologies (Redis, Memcached).
