As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) based in Brazil, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers designing with Giga Device’s non-volatile memories, microcontrollers, power devices, and sensors. You will work closely with the sales and marketing team to drive technical discussions, convert design-ins into design-wins, and strengthen our position in the region. This role is critical not only in supporting current products but also in shaping future product development by working with customers, engineering, and technical marketing teams. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to customers both on-site and virtually. Engage with customers to thoroughly understand their design requirements, identify additional projects, and capture new business opportunities across product lines. Serve as the primary technical driver for design-in to design-win conversion, providing pre- and post-sales technical support. Deliver technical training to customers, partners, and distributors Understand the product landscape in the field and gather competitive and market intelligence Develop application notes and contribute to product qualification activities . Maintain strong technical expertise, particularly in embedded systems and MCU products Travel within Brazil (and occasionally to other Latin American markets) to ensure Giga Device maintains a strong presence. Qualifications Proven experience in the electronics industry , with a focus on Arm Cortex-M based microcontroller products ; familiarity with RISC-V ISA is a plus. Strong ability to read, understand, and develop C/C++ code for Arm microcontrollers. Knowledge of operating systems such as Free RTOS . Proficiency with IDE tools including Keil u Vision v5 and IAR Embedded Workbench. Ability to read electronic design schematics , use measurement instruments, and familiarity with EDA tools. Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Motor Control solutions . Independent, analytical, and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel regionally to support customers. Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English ; Spanish a plus. High integrity, proactive, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Education Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field. Master’s degree preferred; other technical or business degrees considered with relevant experience.
