The ideal candidate understands LATAM's industrial automation market, has experience dealing with regional distributors, and can operate independently to scale our PLC, HMI, servo, and motion control business. Responsibilities 1. Regional Business Development Across South America Develop and manage business opportunities in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and other South American markets. Establish strong relationships with industrial customers in key sectors: Oil & Gas (offshore platforms, drilling systems, pump control, skid automation)Mining (conveyors, crushers, hoisting systems, process automation)Food Processing & Packaging (filling lines, bottling lines, labeling & sealing machines)Robotics & Automation (robot OEMs, integrators, palletizing/packaging robots, AMRs/AGVs)Identify automation upgrade projects, machine builder opportunities, and OEM/ODM potential. 2. Distributor & System Integrator Network Expansion Recruit and evaluate partners in Brazil and across LATAM with strong technical capability and service teams. Assess integrators serving the above industries (mining automation integrators, food packaging integrators, oilfield service SIs, robotics integrators). Provide training on products, applications, and industry-specific solutions. Jointly drive business opportunities, technical proposals, and commercial negotiations. 3. Sales Management & Project Execution Lead opportunity development from first contact to contract signing. Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and commercial offers tailored to industry requirements. Track project progress (pilot runs, commissioning, FAT/SAT), coordinating with China-based engineering teams. Oversee regional pricing strategy, inventory planning, and distributor sales performance. 4. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis Analyze competition in motion control and PLC/HMI markets (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, Omron, Delta, WEG, Bosch Rexroth). Understand industry-specific requirements: Oil & Gas → explosion protection, extreme environment reliability Mining → heavy-duty servo/VFD, dust & vibration resistance Food Packaging → high-speed motion control, hygiene requirements Robotics → Ether CAT, CANopen, servo performance, safety functions Provide structured feedback to HQ regarding product localization, certifications (INMETRO), and market gaps. 5. Marketing, Events & Branding Represent the company at major industrial exhibitions in LATAM (FEIMEC, FIEE, EXPOMAFE, EXPOMIN, Colombiatex, Expoagro). Organize seminars, workshops, and roadshows with distributors. Deploy demo units for partners and key customers across industries. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical fields. 5–10 years sales or business development experience in one or more of the following sectors: Oil & Gas (onshore/offshore automation)Mining & heavy industry automation Food processing & packaging machinery Robotics, motion control, and industrial automation Strong understanding of LATAM's industrial automation ecosystem (OEMs, integrators, distributors). Proven track record managing regional distributors and large industrial accounts.
