Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a full-time, remote Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of software development experience and a background in , as well as C#, C++, .NET, RoR, or Go, to join our U.S. client's engineering team. In this role, you will utilize excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as patience and a customer-friendly attitude, while working in a team environment. Responsibilities Modernize and transform the client's existing software and write new features for the client's customers Document the client's processes, products, and APIs Assist with software releases and ensure we remain on schedule Participate in story pointing and estimation activities Review code and provide feedback, as well as participate in pair programming Be an Agile Scrum advocate Write and maintain automated tests using tools such as Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Telerik Test Studio, and Grafana k6Required Experience Excellent English communication skills 5+ years of software engineering experience Experience with the Framework or equivalent JavaScript frameworks Experience with a major back-end language, such as C#, C++, .NET, Ruby on Rails, and Go Experience working with databases, such as Progress OpenEdge, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL Background with Agile Scrum Strong communication skills and the ability to work well cross-functionally A strong product sense, a high degree of empathy for internal and external users, and a desire to seek feedback from the same users about your work Understanding of development ergonomics, taking pride in understanding your engineering customers Comfortable working with ambiguity and gets excited about collaboration to define complex problems better, determine solutions, and then execute on them The ability to strike a balance between speed and quality of features to create durable technology.
