JOB PURPOSE This position is accountable for providing expertise to customers, related to all aspects of a project from sample collection protocols to analysis requirements needed to meet criteria of project, to QC and reporting of data in the geological services lab. The Geologist must be available to execute petrographic descriptions, data integrations with generated data and discuss results with customers, also provide interpretive reports when necessary. QHSSE Required to follow all QHSSE and Compliance policies and procedures and complete training by using all systems as defined by Stratum. You are responsible for creating opportunities for improvement, report and investigate incidents, non-conformities, and operative issues. Employees must submit STAR cards and report any risks identified on the job. Participation in meetings and general activities created to help in prevent risks is required. The employee is responsible to stop the job and assess whether the conditions are safe to continue work. If applicable, must be responsible for completing all required QHSSE and Compliance reporting. Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule, coordinate and organize personnel to execute the geological services. Generate QC to the Thin sections elaborated on the TS Lab. Generate Thin Section descriptions, mainly presalt samples. Data Integration and QC within Thin section description, XRD, XRF, LPSA, Generate interpretive reports and give presentations based on geological analysis. Coordination between clients and laboratory personnel and management to receive, execute and/or send the samples abroad. Attend meetings with clients for projects follow up and/or present the services. Request materials and maintenance to complete the jobs in a timely matter. Report generated revenue according Stratum policies and required dates. Travel to conferences, training or support may be required on occasion in and outside of Stratum companies. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Stratum. Know and understand Stratum Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions. Coordinate with other staff/labs to ensure samples are completed in a timely manner, and that proper protocols are followed. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. Skills and Knowledge: Petrographic descriptions Personnel Management English and Portuguese languages Minimum Qualifications: Essential BSc Geology or related Preferred 7+ years' experience
