About TelepatiaTelepatia AI is building an AI Doctor to radically improve healthcare. We recently raised the largest Lat Am seed round of $9 M, backed by top global investors. Our team comes from Stanford, Microsoft, MD Anderson, Houston Methodist, and Alice, and we’re on a mission to transform how clinical data is captured and used.Healthcare has two fundamental sources of truth: images and conversations. While most technology has focused on images, 99% of real medical decisions are made through voice. Telepatia is capturing that voice data and turning it into structured, reliable clinical intelligence—unlocking the foundation for an AI-first healthcare system.We are assembling one of the most talent-dense technical teams in Latin America, with the ambition of building the “Manhattan Project” of AI in healthcare.Mission of the RoleAs a Software Engineer at Telepatia, your mission is to transform cutting-edge AI research into production systems that can handle thousands of concurrent clinical sessions with reliability, speed, and trust. You’ll own critical pieces of our infrastructure—from backend microservices and data pipelines to lightweight front-ends—ensuring that our product feels both magical and bulletproof to the doctors who use it daily.You’ll be part of a small, elite team where each engineer’s output directly impacts product velocity, client trust, and ultimately, patient care across Latin America. This is a role for builders who thrive in high-ownership environments and want to ship fast in the most meaningful vertical there is: healthcare.What You’ll DoDesign, build, and scale backend systems (Python/Typescript) that support real-time transcription, structured data capture, and AI-powered clinical workflows.Build and maintain lightweight front-ends (Flutter) to deliver seamless user experiences for doctors.Collaborate closely with clinicians, product managers, and AI engineers to turn ambiguous requests into production features—often in less than a day.Contribute to technical decisions around infra, cost models, observability, and scalability as we grow from dozens to thousands of simultaneous usersCollaborate with AI Team doing LLM orchestration and AI agent pipelines and integrating that into our core Medical Scribe productMust-HavesStrong experience in backend and/or full-stack developmentAbility to work across the stack and ship full features end-to-end when neededStartup mindset: scrappy, fast, and biased toward action. You enjoy turning ambiguity into production systems quicklyHigh product velocity: you care about impact and speed, not just elegant codeStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a high-ownership roleNice-to-HavesExperience with AI application layer (LLM orchestration, Lang Chain, vector DBs, eval pipelines)Experience with healthcare tech (EHR integrations, HIPAA/LGPD compliance)Prior startup experience in high-growth
