Backend Engineer Location: Brazil (Remote) Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Content Systems – Convergence team. In this role, you will design, build, and scale backend services that power content platforms used at scale. You will work closely with product, platform, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance systems in a modern cloud-native environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js Build and optimize content-focused backend systems with high availability and performance Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Deploy, monitor, and manage services using Kubernetes Work with cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP Ensure best practices in system design, security, observability, and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend solutions with product needs Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices Must-Have Qualifications Strong experience building Node.js backend services in production environments Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions Solid experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications Proven experience working with AWS and GCP cloud platforms Strong understanding of modern backend architecture and infrastructure tooling Experience with RESTful APIs and distributed systems
