Job Overview

The Tech Lead is tasked with overseeing the technical direction and execution of software development for digital products managed by a scrum team. This position encompasses planning, designing, leading, and executing technical solutions. The individual in this role will mentor junior developers and assess the strengths and weaknesses of team members, promoting technical advancement, experimentation, and innovation. The Tech Lead will collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure the scrum team maintains a balance between the timely delivery of business features, compliance standards, and high-quality engineering practices such as SOLID architecture, test-driven development, deployment automation, and observability.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership - Act as a team leader, providing coaching and mentorship to developers. Build strong relationships with team members to understand their individual strengths and areas for improvement. Design - Develop architectural and design solutions, leveraging architectural frameworks to guide the creation of software designs. Produce project-level technical designs utilizing the appropriate software stack, patterns, technologies, and libraries. Collaboration - Work closely with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other parties to make informed decisions regarding prioritization, execution, work allocation, sprint planning, and goal setting. Assist in clarifying technical concerns for both stakeholders and the development team. Contextual Understanding - Maintain a comprehensive view of the applications managed by the team and their integration within the broader software ecosystem. Use this perspective to provide technical guidance on frameworks, practices, and code quality. Coding - Produce high-quality code as a model for the rest of the team. The primary contribution to the team will be through coding efforts. Technical Development - Stay informed about emerging technologies relevant to the applications managed. Participate in conferences, follow industry thought leaders, and engage regularly with other tech leads and architects. Onboarding and Team Development - Contribute to the development and maintenance of onboarding processes and assist in the integration of new hires. Quality Ownership - Demonstrate a strong commitment to software craftsmanship. Take ownership of applications, ensuring quality through the use of tools such as security analyzers, static code analysis, and unit test monitoring. Review code changes made by developers and provide constructive feedback based on best practices. Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of experience leading cross-functional teams, with the ability to technically mentor existing resources. At least 5 years of overall software development experience.

Required Skills Proficient in .NET and C# Experience with ASP.Net and ASP.Net MVC (either .NET or .NET Core) Strong grasp of web development fundamentals, including HTTP verbs, cookie and state management, and caching Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles Familiarity with design patterns Knowledge of IOC/DI and experience with various frameworks is advantageous Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) Proficient in SQL/ORMs Familiarity with packaging frameworks such as NPM, Yarn Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as Angular, Vue, React Desired Skills Knowledge of .NET Core Experience with container technologies, Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with NoSQL databases Understanding of asynchronous programming Experience with Sitecore or other CMS platforms Knowledge of JAMStack Familiarity with health observability tools like Dynatrace, Splunk
