About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Elixir Software Engineer to join our team at AgileEngine, LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our software applications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop scalable, efficient, and reliable software applications using Elixir and other relevant technologies.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  3. Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code that meets industry standards and is compatible with all devices.
  4. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development and apply this knowledge to improve our software applications.
  6. Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  7. Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge base to ensure knowledge sharing and reuse.
  8. Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to the improvement of our development processes.

Requirements

  1. 4+ years of experience in web development with expertise in Elixir.
  2. 4+ years of experience in web development with expertise in JavaScript frameworks.
  3. 4+ years of front-end development experience with expertise in CSS and HTML.
  4. Experience with building performant, responsive front-end components.
  5. Technical background with knowledge of engineering principles and design patterns.
  6. Passionate about writing clean, modern, maintainable, and highly performant code.
  7. Proactive ability and self-starter attitude to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  8. Positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
  9. Experience working in an Agile team.
  10. Self-awareness and desire to continually improve.
  11. Upper-intermediate English level.

Nice to Have

  1. Experience with PHP and at least 1 major framework such as Laravel, Phalcon, Symfony, etc.
  2. Experience with TypeScript and at least 1 modern Frontend Web Framework such as VueJS, Angular, or Svelte.
  3. Experience with Server-Side rendering in either NextJS, Phoenix, or Hugo.
  4. Experience in e-commerce engineering.
