Job Title: Diesel Mechanic & Workshop Manager

Farm Manager SA is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic & Workshop Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of mechanics to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Coordinate with farmers to understand their equipment needs and develop maintenance schedules.
  • Inspect and diagnose equipment issues to determine the best course of action.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and repair procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless equipment operation.

Requirements:

  • Red Seal Certificate advantageous
  • 5 years proven experience in the workshop environment.
  • Proven experience with repairing JD tractors, harvesters and implements
  • Agricultural background / experience preferred
  • Good administrative and communication skills
  • Must have strong management skills with excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong team building and decision-making skills
  • Valid drivers license
