Powertrain Calibration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Calibration Sr. Analyst to join our R&D team at Great Wall Motor Brasil Ltda.

1. Collaborate with the GWM Brazil R&D team to develop innovative powertrain solutions tailored to the Brazilian market.
2. Perform powertrain calibration in conjunction with the GWM R&D team, ensuring products meet Brazilian regulatory requirements, including emissions, drivability, starting, component protection, OBD, and more.
3. Support vehicle testing at various locations, focusing on emissions and fuel consumption.
4. Analyze data and interface with the R&D headquarters to provide guidance and solutions to local problems.
5. Contribute to the execution of benchmark plans and future emissions/OBD regulation studies.
6. Enhance the company's research and development capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in engine calibration within the automotive industry, with transmission calibration experience being a plus.
• Experience with light-duty vehicle emissions certification and tests according to CONAMA 492/2018 (Proconve L7).
• Knowledge of future emissions regulations (Proconve L8) is desirable.
• Previous experience with flex fuel vehicles using ethanol (minimum 3 years).
• Previous experience with hybrid electric vehicles is desirable.
• Strong technical and analytical profile.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English being mandatory.
• Familiarity with Excel and the ability to create calculation sheets, charts, and manipulate data.
• Familiarity with internal combustion engine, thermodynamics, control theory, sensors, and actuators.
• ETAS INCA Calibration software experience - minimum 2 years.
• Knowledge of MDA tool.
