Job Overview

At DB Schenker, we are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Controller to oversee the financial operations of client warehouses located in Brazil. This role will collaborate closely with the finance team, operations management, and headquarters to ensure accurate and strategic financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and prepare financial statements in compliance with local regulations and international standards (IFRS).
  • Develop budgets, monitor variances, and recommend cost-effective solutions to improve financial performance.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including profitability assessments, cost management, and projections to support operational decisions.
  • Assist operations with pricing strategies and client proposals by providing detailed financial insights.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal control processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and prevent discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Fluent in both Portuguese and English, with strong communication skills, especially in presenting results to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP), MS Excel, and financial reporting software.
  • Strong understanding of Brazilian accounting standards (CPCs) and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with experience working across departments and coordinating with headquarters.
  • Comfortable interacting with subordinates, customers, and senior management, fostering effective collaboration between functional areas.
  • Willingness to travel locally to support warehouse operations and attend key meetings.
