Customer Service Representative Job SummaryThe Customer Service Representative will play a vital role in supporting the Store Leadership Team to achieve all company objectives and initiatives. This includes modeling and maintaining excellent customer service with effective communication, product knowledge, and appropriate selling techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor customer activity and respond promptly to provide assistance.
- Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
- Effectively communicate value and quality of merchandise while sharing current promotions and offering solutions for out-of-stock items when necessary.
- Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns and demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
- Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap while educating customers on the benefits of our loyalty program.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and ensure that all sizes and styles are represented.
- Follow company standards for merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
- Support and maintain a neat, clean, and organized stockroom while adhering to safety requirements.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard.
- Ensure adherence to all Loss Prevention procedures to guarantee company assets.
- Inform Store Leadership Team of maintenance and facility needs promptly to ensure a safe and clean environment for customers and associates.
- Contribute focused efforts towards achievement of store goals and exhibit flexibility by processing stock as needed.
In addition, the Customer Service Representative must be able to work effectively in a team environment, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain high levels of customer engagement and time management skills.
Requirements:- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education an asset.
- Previous retail experience an asset.
