Marine Electrician

Job Summary

TechnipFMC is seeking a highly skilled Marine Electrician to join our team. As an Electrical Plant Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ship's electric plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all services of your specialty according to the determinations and supervision of Electro-technical Officers (ETO's)
• Keep all appliances, electrical installations, and lighting fixtures correctly operating
• Be familiarized with the electrical plant of the unit, particularly the SCR system
• Inspect and maintain internal communications systems, navigation lights, internal lights, cranes, gypsy heads, and other electric and electronic equipment
• Preserve and maintain all materials, tools, and appliances related to your specialty
• Assist with research work as instructed by senior officers
• Ensure accurate information is entered into maintenance logs
• Notify the Chief Engineer/Electro-Technical Officer about transmission requirements
• Keep the Second Engineer and ETO informed about the progress of any works

Requirements

• Complete electrical technical course
• CIR in Electrician
• Waterways Adaptation Course with concentration in Electricity CAAQ-ELT
• English Intermediate

• Training certificate 1034 – III/7
• CIR – Electrician
• STCW - Basic Safety Training VI/1 (TBS1)

• STCW - Certificate of Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (CERR)
• STCW – Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft (EESS)
• STCW - Advanced MN Fire Fighting A-VI/3 (ECIA)
• STCW – Medical First Aid A-VI/4-1 (EPSM)
