Senior Backend Systems Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and autonomous individual who is passionate about building backend systems that power real-world AI solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact and grow into senior technical roles, contribute to strategic AI initiatives, and help shape the future of GenAI.
This person will be responsible for designing and implementing backend solutions that integrate with cutting-edge Generative AI technologies, working with cloud-based and on-prem LLM APIs, applying prompt engineering techniques, and orchestrating models using modern frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing backend solutions that leverage cutting-edge GenAI technologies
- Collaborating with architects and SREs in CI/CD and cloud environments
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and exploring new tools and approaches to AI development
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in backend software development
- Proficiency in Python or Node.js with TypeScript
- Experience with relational databases (SQL)
- Cloud experience with AWS or Azure
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab)
- Strong understanding of REST API design, MVC architecture, and backend development best practices
- Familiarity with GenAI APIs (e.g., Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates with experience in AI projects, backend frameworks aligned with Python or Node.js, knowledge of vector databases, and familiarity with GenAI orchestration frameworks are also welcome.
SOFT SKILLS
High adaptability to new technologies and environments, self-sufficient and solution-oriented mindset, resilience under pressure, and consultative and proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement are essential qualities for this role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to client offices. Daily communication will be in Spanish, and technical English is required for documentation and APIs.
