Senior AI Security Specialist

A senior professional with extensive experience in driving progress, solving complex problems and mentoring junior team members is sought to take on this challenging role.

This individual will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, with 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages and 3 years of experience testing, maintaining or launching software products, as well as 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership for a team of software engineers building and launching company-wide AI-based access security features.
  • Design and implement AI Agents, infrastructure and integrations.
  • Investigate, adopt and promote across the broader organization the latest technology and best practices in building AI Agents and AI-based security applications.
  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers and partner engineering teams to drive high-quality AI-based products and features through the software project lifecycle.

This role involves helping to advance Access Security and reduce insider risk across Google by building and scaling a broad set of access infrastructure technologies, supporting a growing number of existing users, and building brand new AI-based scenarios.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products, owning and advocating for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have expertise in software development, testing, maintenance and launch of software products, as well as experience in software design and architecture. They will also have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
