About the Role

Credit Saison Brazil is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Legal Counsel to join our team in São Paulo, Brazil. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for managing all corporate legal matters, including tax and labor, and ensuring compliance with all applicable legislations and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporate Legal: Manage all corporate legal matters, including tax and labor, and ensure compliance with all applicable legislations and regulatory requirements. Lead the company's day-to-day corporate and commercial legal demands, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating corporate documents and commercial contracts.
  • Compliance: Review and monitor compliance with internal policies, standards and operational procedures. Review, monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, including updates from time to time.
  • General: Assess legal and regulatory risks and recommend suitable solutions for business needs. Conduct analysis and provide legal advice to stakeholders, ensuring Country Manager and reporting authority are kept informed of relevant issues and progress.
Requirements
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in Portuguese & English (CEFR C1 or above)
  • Active OAB membership
  • Solid experience in corporate law
  • Solid knowledge and experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and corporate documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High analytical skills and logical structure when presenting work and participating in meetings
  • Proactivity, availability and autonomy in carrying out responsibilities
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office package
