Data Steward Global Asset Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Steward to join our team at Damco Spain SL. As a Data Steward, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our global asset management data.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the principal owner of data across multiple entities and locations, ensuring data quality and compliance with policy and regulatory obligations.
- Collaborate with data owners and process owners to create standards and guidelines for global usage, and document information on data elements, definitions, and business rules.
- Monitor and supervise the lifecycle of master and reference datasets, validating and approving business terms and data definitions.
- Engage in ongoing evaluation of data quality, identifying anomalies and discrepancies, and contributing expertise to understand root causes and implement corrective measures.
- Lead cross-functional discussions and provide training to users of data requisition processes.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with master data in a functional area of expertise.
- Experience in data collection, cleaning, and standardization is preferred.
- Education in an engineering field is preferred, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
- High-level proficiency in data analytics, including Excel, SQL, Visual Basic, and other analytics software.
- Good understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and data governance processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Proactive attitude, information-seeking, and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Level-headed and effective at change management, capable of pushing back when appropriate.
- Self-motivator, comfortable working remotely, and seen as an informal authority by the rest of the organization.
- Highly disciplined, following through on actions and ensuring necessary documentation.
- Good English written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
