Louis Dreyfus Company is a leading commercializer and processor of agricultural products globally.

Job Responsibilities
  1. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to identify, value, negotiate, and close structured transactions of environmental commodities and partnerships to grow our carbon portfolio in Latin America.
  2. The successful candidate will lead opportunity identification, maturation, and delivery, building strong relationships with clients as sources of liquidity, margin, and structure.
  3. This role involves developing internal and external relationships and networks with traders, customers, organizations, consultants, and stakeholders to support carbon-related trading and projects in Latin America.
  4. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of compliance and voluntary markets, integrating connections between these markets to capture opportunities across market mechanisms, geographies, methodologies, vintages, contract duration, and type, focusing on Latin America.
  5. We are looking for a team player who can collaborate on conceptualizing and implementing new products and services around carbon solutions and low-carbon products for customers in Latin America.
  6. The successful candidate will identify, evaluate, and conduct due diligence assessments of origination project opportunities across all carbon standards and methodologies, focusing on agriculture-related project types.
  7. This role involves identifying, analyzing, and developing products for key customers such as carbon credits, carbon-neutral ingredients, scope 3 claims, and/or impact units.
  8. The ideal candidate will provide local market information on conditions, regulations, events, risks, and opportunities.
  9. This position requires working closely with local teams and the Global Carbon Solutions team to support origination, development, and delivery of new businesses on both supply and demand sides of the portfolio.
  10. We are seeking a 'carbon expert' to embed carbon within the full value chain.
  11. The successful candidate will organize/participate in internal workshops and presentations.

The role will require frequent travel to various locations in Latin America.

Able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding company information and strategies.
