Visionary Backend Architect

Our company is seeking a battle-tested, hands-on architect to become the guardian of our core production systems. This deeply technical, hands-on position requires a master craftsperson who prefers architecting and shipping brilliant code to attending meetings.
The RoleThis role will ensure our systems run with unwavering stability and speed, enabling us to deploy frequently and safely. You will be responsible for ensuring quality, reliability, and serving as a calm voice of reason during a crisis.
- You must have 15+ years of working experience in critical, high-volume environments.
- Strong knowledge of backend programming (Rust, Go, C++, or similar) is required.
- Expertise in scalable and resilient architecture is crucial.
- Proven experience with automated testing and incident response is essential.
- A background in designing and operating mission-critical systems is necessary.
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills are expected.
- You must be self-motivated, a lifetime learner, and aligned with Bitcoin ethos.
Additional qualifications include experience with Bitcoin protocols, familiarity with compliance-aware architecture in fintech, open-source contributions, background in cryptography or financial systems, and previous startup or scale-up experience.
Our selection process is designed to identify the best candidates. The hiring process consists of three phases: Phase 0, Phase 1, and Phase 2. Candidates who successfully pass each phase will receive instructions for the next stage. A final interview may be conducted online or in person.
