Key Objectives
- Mentor fellow developers and support their professional growth as software engineers.
- Contribute significantly to the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable cloud-based applications.
- Take ownership of entire features while guiding team members involved in their development.
- Adapt to both independent and collaborative work settings, engaging in technical discussions, planning sessions, demos, and retrospectives.
- Embrace new technologies with minimal prior knowledge or experience.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues across divisions, including Product, Design, and Business/Sales.
- Promote a Test-Driven Development (TDD) culture within our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Assist the Engineering team in achieving its Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Drive continuous innovation in response to business needs.
- Encourage a security-first mindset and enhance secure coding practices within the team.
- Conduct research and development projects to explore new technologies and architectures for platform evolution.
- Represent the company at conferences and symposiums, discussing the technologies we create, utilize, and support.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Typescript (NodeJs) for backend development.
- Extensive software development experience.
- Proven experience leading complex projects from inception to completion.
- High proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise with at least one managed Kubernetes service (GKE, EKS, AKS, or OpenShift).
- Experience with unit, integration, and functional testing frameworks like Mocha/Jest.
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure) is essential.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices and experience in their implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture concepts including scalability, elasticity, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
- Solid grasp of production-ready server-side technologies.
- Good understanding of cloud monitoring and cost optimization strategies.
- Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, and React, with a willingness to learn new languages.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience in automating development processes and environments.
- Familiarity with Linux, MySQL, MongoDB, Nginx, HAProxy, Tomcat, Git, Jenkins, and Elasticsearch.
- Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified Professional DevOps Engineer are advantageous.
