Medical Assistant Opportunity

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
  2. Take patient histories and vital signs.
  3. Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
  4. Dispense medication as directed.
  5. Instruct and educate patients about discharge instructions if applicable.
  6. Handle telephone calls from clients, patients, prospective patients, physicians, pharmacies, and other staff.
  7. Provide solutions to patient concerns within the scope of position.
Clinical Duties:
  • Patient intake including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and collections.
  • Accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers, and companies.
  • Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing regarding patient care.
  • Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physician's review, etc.
  • Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies.
  • Annual training as needed.
  • Help produce and maintain patient education instruction hand-outs.
  • Maintain clean, professional working/treatment area.
  • Accept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.), and prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial but not required.
