About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at Edwards Lifesciences. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a critical role in driving business success and enabling our ongoing strategy of innovation, leadership, and focus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions that optimize resource allocation within budgetary constraints, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.
  • Business Reporting and Analysis: Analyze report data to identify areas for improvement, writing justification for variances and providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Month-End Close: Assist in cost center finances, including journal entries, review financial measures, and provide guidance on cost center performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations, including the Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, and IRS.
  • Special Projects: Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Previous related knowledge required.
  • Knowledge working in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) preferred.
Desirable Skills
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to financial planning and month-end processes.
  • Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Solid understanding of the multi-relational impact of the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statement and how journal entries affect each statement.
  • Solid knowledge of financial concepts and principles.
  • Expertise in own functional area and ability to coach others in various functional areas impacted within the business.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally and independently with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and related financial systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, including consultative and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills.
  • Adherence to all company rules and requirements, including pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules, and taking adequate control measures to prevent injuries and protect the environment.
