1. Engine Room Operations

  • Prepare and start-up Engine Room Plant and Systems
  • Monitor and shutdown Engine Room Plant and Systems
  • Isolate and reinstate Engine Room Plant for Maintenance

2. Leadership and Supervision

  • Establish effective relationships with colleagues and subordinates
  • Plan and control resource use effectively
  • Use communication skills to show leadership
  • Contribute to On Job Training of subordinates

3. Critical Situation Management

  • Identify and log critical situations
  • Take positive action to limit escalation
  • Alert Supervisor/CRR/OIM in good time

4. Pollution Control

  • Sample and check controlled discharges
  • Identify and halt unplanned discharges
  • Deal with equipment, waste, and materials for disposal

5. Emergency Response

  • Carry out emergency response role
  • Show competence during drills and exercises

Requirements

  • Qualified to EOOW STCW Reg AIII/1
  • At least 1-year experience as Watch keeping Marine Engineer
  • VLCC experience preferred
  • Medically fit with offshore International standards

  • Good levels of written and spoken communication in English

Technical Skills

  • Appropriate standard of technical, legal, and professional knowledge
