Data Architecture Specialist

Skillful professionals with expertise in data analytics are sought to lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions for customers. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will collaborate on architecting scalable and secure data architectures, leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and services.

This role involves providing technical guidance to customers on optimizing their data infrastructure, implementing data lakes, and ensuring seamless integration with AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Amazon EMR, and Amazon Redshift. You will work extensively with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWS products and services, with proficiency in architecting complex solutions tailored to meet customer needs. As a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.

• Design and implement cloud-based data architectures, including data lakes, lake houses, and data meshes.
• Collaborate with customers and partners to deliver on-site technical assessments and create packaged Data & Analytics service offerings.
• Engage with business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise.
• Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services.

This is a customer-facing role, requiring travel to client locations and delivery of professional services as needed. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation
- 5+ years of database (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience
- 5+ Experience delivering cloud projects or cloud based solutions
- Able to communicate effectively in English, within technical and business settings.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field

- 5+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
- Proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
- Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
