Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move materials and products within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts according to established operational procedures and safety standards.
• Perform daily inspections on forklifts, checking their operational condition and reporting any irregularities to the supervisor.
• Load, unload, and move materials and products using the forklift safely and efficiently.
• Organize and arrange materials in designated areas, ensuring proper workflow and ease of access.
• Follow picking, receiving, shipping, and storage instructions according to control documents.
• Collaborate with other areas of the company to ensure process efficiency.
• Ensure the physical integrity of employees and the safety of facilities by operating the forklift responsibly and adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, including inspection records and inventory controls.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and safety knowledge.
• Contribute to the identification and implementation of improvements in processes related to material handling and forklift operation.

Requirements:

• Completed high school education.
• Proven previous experience in forklift operation, preferably in industrial or logistics environments.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to forklift operation.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately.
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
