Job Description

The purpose of this role is to support the development of a comprehensive report on climate vulnerability in three municipalities: Barra Mansa, Rio Claro, and Angra dos Reis. The report aims to identify strategic initiatives for risk reduction and enhance adaptation and resilience to extreme climate events.

Responsibilities
  • Support and write part of the report concerning the municipalities of Barra Mansa, Rio Claro, and Angra dos Reis.
  • Support the analysis of data and systematize it according to the characteristics of the cities selected.
  • Research recent impacts of rains and landslides that affected the state of Rio de Janeiro.
  • Support the visit of selected municipalities to validate information and discuss priority projects.
  • Provide an integrated perspective on basic urban services such as housing, mobility, energy, water, sanitation, etc., and their vulnerability to extreme weather events.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with climate change and vulnerability assessments.
