Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced construction estimator to join our organization. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
  • Analyze data to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
  • Develop bills of quantities for construction activities.
  • Quote and procure materials and subcontractors at the best possible prices.
  • Review and challenge proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress and expenditures to ensure they stay within budget.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and variations to stakeholders.
  • Resolve any disputes related to costs or contracts.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or other related field.
  • Work Experience:
    • Proven experience as a construction estimator in construction projects (5+ years).
    • Proven experience as a construction estimator in high-end hospitality/residential projects (3+ years).
    • Proven experience estimating budgets for construction projects over $20M USD.
  • Proficiency:
    • Relevant software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel, Google Sheets, Revit).
  • Network:
    • Industry connections and relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Nice to Have:

  • Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, PQS).
  • Work experience in construction site roles.
