Senior Android Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join our team in developing innovative embedded systems, focusing on the Android stack below the application layer. This includes the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and System Services, as well as Linux kernel-level integration.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in embedded software/firmware development, Android Board Support Package (BSP), and AOSP customization.
This role offers the opportunity to work with the latest Android versions, contributing to cutting-edge embedded systems in the critical middleware space between low-level hardware and the Android framework.
Responsibilities:- Develop and optimize Android-based platforms for maximum performance and efficiency
- Deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software/firmware development, with a strong focus on Android AOSP engineering
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with HAL, Android Framework, and System Services, including expertise in C++, Java, and modifying system-level code in C
- Strong understanding of recent Android versions, features, APIs, and changes, with a solid grasp of networking protocols: Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP
- Proficiency in Embedded Linux development, with a good understanding of Linux kernel internals and system layers
- Strong problem-solving skills and independent working style, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python, with expertise in debugging and development within the Android Framework layer
- Familiarity with the NDK toolchain, building native libraries and components, and Project Treble architecture
- Linux User Space development experience is highly valued; Linux Kernel development experience is a bonus
