As a Medical Science Liaison, you'll play a critical role in developing and enhancing professional relationships with medical thought leaders, key medical organizations, and treatment centers of excellence. You'll provide medical information through scientific exchange, support clinical trials, and collaborate with internal teams to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and academic centers.
- Support NPP activities by leveraging the science behind our products.
- Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator-initiated research.
- Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with country-level plans.
- Provide clinical presentations and medical information to various audiences, including KOLs, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate complex scientific information and facilitate the collection and dissemination of scientific data.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations to enhance patient enrollment in company-sponsored clinical trials.
- Provide scientific support at medical congresses and ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
- Medical degree with at least 4 years of previous MSL and relevant disease state clinical experience.
- Rare disease experience preferred, particularly in metabolic genetic diseases.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with fluency in Spanish and English.
- Demonstrated experience presenting clinical/scientific information and understanding of the local healthcare delivery system.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional manner and make decisions impacting the department's credibility and operations.
