Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned backend engineer to contribute to our large-scale migration from Ruby on Rails to Go-based microservices.

You will design, develop, and deploy new features for the authorization microservice, ensuring seamless and secure permission flows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new features for the Go-based authorization microservice.
  • Migrate authorization logic from Ruby on Rails to independent services.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the authorization platform meets their needs.
  • Contribute to the health and maintenance of backend infrastructure and custom libraries.
  • Participate in daily standups, weekly sprint planning, and Friday demos.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years of professional backend software development experience.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Go (Golang), including idioms and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Ruby on Rails for working with and migrating legacy logic.
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work proactively.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge and passion for authorization logic (RBAC, ABAC).
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog.
