Job Title: Senior Surveyor

This position is available for a Senior Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our offshore operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of survey projects.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in surveying science, with relevant industry experience or military/academic experience in a survey related discipline. They will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with client representatives and company personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Supervise survey operations: Ensure safe working practices at all times and with due regard to contractual requirements, scope of work, procedures and regulations">
  • Manage mobilization and demobilization activities: With regard to safety of personnel and assets">
  • Ensure systems compliance: Functioning in compliance with contractual requirements, project procedures and company procedures to effectively conduct the scope of work">
  • Collect, collate, QC and distribute data: Relating to the scope of work as per project procedures and company procedures">
  • Advise onshore management: Company and client representatives when deviation from the approved procedure is necessary and record through the Management of Change Procedure">
  • Compile operational/field reporting: In a concise manner and in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures">
  • Complete final reporting and data transfer/backup: In accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures">
  • Effectively communicate: With client representatives and company representatives onshore">
  • Personnel performance reviews/appraisals: Conduct for your direct reports and provide specific performance data/feedback to supervisors of non-direct reports assigned to your projects">
  • Actively participate and lead by example: In the Company's Quality and HSE systems and procedures">
  • Comply with policies and procedures: Understand and comply with UTEC policies and procedures">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Bilingualism: Bilingual in Portuguese and English, strongly preferred">
  • Education: Education in Geomatics, Surveying Science">
  • Industry experience: Relevant industry experience or military/academic experience in survey related discipline">
  • Surveyor Grade I: Satisfactory completion of the competence criteria for Surveyor Grade I">
  • Experience: Nominally 24 months experience, including 200 operational days offshore as a Surveyor Grade I">
