Hardware Engineer Job Description

This is a challenging role in hardware engineering where you will be working on designing and improving IoT devices. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware design, electronics, and PCB layout.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop innovative hardware solutions that meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Take ownership of hardware design projects, including conceptualization, schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout.
  • Develop test plans to verify the performance, reliability, and compatibility of hardware designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of hardware components.
  • Troubleshoot hardware-related issues by investigating and diagnosing problems, identifying root causes, and recommending appropriate solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware engineering and electronics.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as KiCAD and Altium Designer.
  • Experience utilizing laboratory equipment and tools for hardware testing, analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
  • Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA).
  • Familiarity with hardware design for low-power and battery-operated devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
