We are seeking a highly skilled Construction HV Engineer to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful design and construction of high/medium voltage electrical substations.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning: Conduct preliminary surveys of the site of Substation and Electric Lines construction, ensuring all formalities such as permits and clearances are obtained from relevant authorities.
- Site Management: Oversee the construction activity, ensuring it progresses as per schedule and adhering to all electrical regulations and requirements.
- Quality Control: Verify that all EHS procedures are fully complied with, and ensure that work MOPs for Electrical Substation and HVTL construction are implemented and followed as required.
- Communication: Regularly report to the DCD PM and Consultant Construction Manager with updates on the Substation construction work, and communicate with DC construction coordinators to ensure coordination between DC construction and Substation construction.
- Team Management: Manage Substation designers, architects, and suppliers to ensure construction is carried out as per schedule and within quality requirements.
- Education: Degrees and/or professional licenses in Electrical Engineering.
- Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in Substation and electrical transmission lines standards and practices.
