Software Engineering Role

Job Description:

This role is designed for individuals with a passion for developing software solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing, testing, and debugging code to meet project goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop software solutions by writing, testing, and debugging code.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives, under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Learn and grow within the software engineering field by actively participating in training and mentoring programs.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support the documentation of software requirements and specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues, with support from senior team members.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices, seeking opportunities for professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more software languages and development methodologies.
  • Basic coding and debugging skills.
  • Proficiency with SQL; database administration, replication, and performance tuning experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Java.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with web service integrations (REST, SOAP).
  • Cloud services experience (Azure, AWS).
  • Container service deployment experience (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Jira familiarity.
