Highway Engineer

Join us in this exciting opportunity to work as a Highway Engineer and contribute to the development of transportation systems.

Our ideal candidate will be a highly skilled professional with experience in transportation engineering, including PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit preparation and review, roadway design, drainage design, ADA ramp design, maintenance and protection of traffic plans, pavement marking and signing layouts, and pavement section design and review.

  • Required Skills:
  • Experience/knowledge of PennDOT publications and design standards.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of work experience.
  • Professional Engineer license in PA preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of PennDOT's electronic permitting system (EPS).
  • Familiarity with current design standards (PennDOT, AASHTO).
  • Efficient use of applicable engineering software (StormCAD; Hydraflow Hydrographs; Hydraflow Storm Sewers; VTPSUHM, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills.
