As a Senior Corporate Counsel Leader, you will specialize in corporate transactional work to provide expert legal advice and support for strategic initiatives.

This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, managing transactions, and advising on compliance and government regulations. You will build relationships with senior management to create appropriate legal strategies to advance business goals in the region.

  • Transactional Support:
  • Provide legal counsel on all aspects of corporate transactions, including strategic business deals and sales.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts and agreements.
  • Identify and manage legal risks associated with transactions and business operations.
  • Advice and Counsel:
  • Responsible for managing an active portfolio of legal issues with respect to products and services with moderate to high-risk implications.
  • Advise on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies within relevant areas.
  • Assess legal risks and opportunities, and establish plans to minimize risks at acceptable levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel, and provide training to internal clients as needed.
  • Shape company positions regarding various legal and business matters.
  • Coordinate efforts with internal and/or external experts when necessary.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Advises department managers regarding local laws, regulations, and issues.
  • Collaborates with key customers and management across various parts of the organization.
  • Builds strong relationships with peers and senior management to meet goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Admission to the bar
  • Several years of experience in a large law firm or multinational corporation
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills
