Assistant Director

About the Role

The Assistant Director plays a pivotal part in supporting the Program Director in Northampton County. Key responsibilities include assisting with hiring, training and supervising staff, as well as communicating weekly performance updates to the Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform intakes and coordinate client staffing to ensure delivery of services aligns with program requirements and compliance standards.
  • Manage the delivery of client service hours, maintaining appropriate weekly service levels.
  • Uphold a commitment to strength-based, culturally competent and unconditional care philosophies.
  • Apply knowledge of mental health practices, juvenile justice systems and budget management as applicable.
  • Engage in creative and proactive planning to meet program goals.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field.
  • Three to five years experience in youth services, juvenile justice, community programs or related areas.
  • At least one year management or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365; experience with electronic health record systems (EHR) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are advantageous.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current auto insurance are required.
