Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Golf Course Equipment Technician to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual who enjoys working outdoors and has a passion for machinery maintenance.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing golf course equipment, including carts, tractors, and other vehicles. This will involve inspecting and diagnosing defects, performing general overhauls, and making necessary repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical defects of equipment
  • Perform general overhaul of motors and other components
  • Repair transmission, differentials, carburetors, distributors, fuel pumps, steering systems, starters, generators, universal joints, hydraulic systems, and high-pressure pumps and valves
  • Install and adjust brakes; install batteries, tires, wiring
  • Diagnose mechanical trouble and schedule appropriate preventive maintenance work
  • Perform preventive maintenance work, including oils and filters replacement and greasing of equipment
  • Machine and weld equipment
  • Grind and sharpen mower blades, reels, and bed knives
  • Instruct equipment operators in the safe, efficient operation, and care of mowing and other equipment

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Valid California Driver's License required
  • Past golf course maintenance experience preferred
  • Minimum two years general mechanic experience - High School diploma preferred
