The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Optimization Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our cutting-edge cloud optimization platform. As a Cloud Optimization Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our DevOps strategy, automating and streamlining our development, staging, and production environments, and collaborating with our software engineers and system administrators to ensure our systems are optimized for maximum performance and availability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement our DevOps strategy and best practices.
- Automate and streamline our development, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support and guidance.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance.
- Ensure high availability and scalability of our systems.
- Configure and maintain our servers, containers, and other infrastructure components.
- Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and other automation processes.
- Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to troubleshoot issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Provide technical support for development teams.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related engineering role.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Proven experience with DevOps tools and processes.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Ruby.
- Proficient in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, EKS, EC2.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
