Overview
This is a 10-week senior-level engagement focused on modernizing a legacy mobile application. The team consists of skilled full-stack developers who lack dedicated mobile expertise, leading to technical challenges and delivery delays. As a Senior React Native Developer, you will bring mobile-specific best practices, improve code quality, reduce technical debt, and guide the team toward a stable, high-quality release before the end of the year.
Responsibilities- Lead the development of a new mobile app using Expo (React Native) and Nest.js, ensuring feature parity with the legacy system while resolving technical debt.
- Optimize integrations with Azure services, including Container Apps, Blob Storage, Redis, Key Vault, and Virtual Networks, for production deployments.
- Troubleshoot critical compatibility issues and performance bottlenecks, implementing mobile-first solutions.
- Guide the team on monorepo management (Nx) and modern UI development (Tamagui or similar).
- Collaborate with architects to align technical approaches with mobile best practices.
- Collaborate with developers through knowledge transfer on tooling, workflows, and debugging strategies.
- Expert in Expo and React Native development.
- Expert in Nest.js for backend integration.
- Expert in Azure services, including Container Apps, Blob Storage, Redis, Key Vault, and Virtual Networks, for production deployments.
