About this role
This Specialist Solutions Architect role is part of the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team, focusing on helping Startups scale quickly and cost-effectively on AWS. As a key member of the WWSO Startup team, you will work closely with promising Startups to ease their adoption of AWS Storage services.

Key responsibilities
As a trusted advisor, you will interact with CxO/VP level executives, developers, and technical architects to drive adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships. You will also develop and deploy programs leveraging AWS Field Solution Architect teams, technology, and consulting partner channels. Additionally, you will collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions solving customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans. You will guide and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to your domains, creating field enablement materials for the broader SA population to integrate new AWS solutions into customer architectures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
– 4+ years experience in storage infrastructure solutions and cloud storage services/technologies such as automation, optimization and security.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with VC or PE-backed forms.
– Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies common to Startups.
– Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers.
– Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
– Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
– Technical degree highly desired such as engineering, computer science, or MIS.
