Marine Trainer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Trainer to join our team. As a Marine Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to our clients in the marine industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime education and training, with experience in developing and implementing training programs. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to adapt to changing situations. You will also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored training programs
- Stay updated in relevant fields, both with knowledge of products and art of distributing knowledge
- Maintain equipment, labs, simulators and classrooms for training activities
- Implement course improvements and adaptations aligned with our quality procedures and requirements
- Follow, adhere, and implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and actions to ensure safe and hazard-free learning environment and workplace
- Represent us before customers during training delivery classes, as well as when participating in meetings or external events as a department representative

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education from Maritime Academy at a bachelor or master level, preferably holding a Ch-mate (or higher) Certificate
- Experience from DP-vessel holding a DP unlimited certificate
- Minimum of 150 DP days on the last 5 years proven by NI or IMCA logbook entries (mandatory)
- Valid Deck Officer Certificate and DP NI Certificate
- Ability to communicate to a broad audience with various backgrounds and understanding of the content
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in Portuguese
- Must be able to do some travel activity
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate with others in the team
- Be customer-oriented and service-minded
- Possess abilities and have talent for teaching
- Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies is necessary
